Consumer and Worker Protection, Department of
You must have a Ticket Seller license if you sell tickets in a public space OR sell, give, or transfer any ticket to another person for sale in a public space. The New York City Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) issues this license.
You do not need a Ticket Seller license if you are selling tickets for a mode of transportation operating under a contract with the City of New York or with an entity authorized to act on the City’s behalf.
