Businesses that rent motor vehicles must follow certain laws. These laws are enforced by the New York State Attorney General.
Businesses cannot discriminate based on age for renters over the age of 18. Businesses cannot discriminate based on race, origin, religion, disability, or sex. Businesses must provide insurance and liability.
