A Farm Winery License is needed to produce and sell wine at the site where the fruit is grown. This license is issued by the New York State Liquor Authority (SLA).



This license allows businesses to sell wine to dealers, distributors, and individuals. Businesses that wish to sell off premises need additional permits.

Farm wineries must produce under 250,000 gallons of wine annually. The wine must be produced completely with products from New York State.

You must apply for this license with an attorney registered in New York State.
